Shrimp Festival and family fun.

Great day today! It began a little rough, but ended with lots of fun. We (John and I) got to sleep in until 7:30am, Hooray our little one let us sleep a good nine hours. I nursed her and then we started with a bath, not too bad, until we were ready to get out of the bath and she decided the water needed a little poo too. Really looking back now it was funny, mainly because she isn't to
the stage where there is much to worry about, that is yet. So I cleaned the little tub and started over for the second bath, success this time. Until I put her on the changing table for a new diaper and clothes, then she decided the towel was her diaper.. again a little cleaning and were good. So we start with a cute outfit of course and just as I pick her up to go sit down a nice burp, and then a bit of projectile spit-up all over her arm, hand and of course down the front of her and down the back of me, the shoulder, the arm and yummy a little in the hair. We had a little talk, that is I did the talking and she couldn't help but to smile. Once we finally got it all together and were almost ready John got back and had coffee for me... What a great husband. :)
She was quite the character this morning on the way down the canal to the festival, making noises, and coos, she had John and I laughing the whole way down. We had a great time at the festival with the family, even Bear (the dog) came with us. Lots of local vendors, we got our beloved Spot Prawns, the whole point of the festival of course. Then sampled the festival foods too. Fried Oysters, Steamed Clams, Shrimp, Garlic Fries and Elephant Ears and that was just a sampling.
We of course couldn't miss one of the top events for the festival was the BELT SANDER races. It is out in the middle of the boonies. They were great! actually many of the racers came from around Seattle for the fun. We also saw the Elk on the beach shore when we were leaving, they are beautiful for sure.

Tomorrow were heading to the family BBQ and meeting our new niece Eva, which will be fun. Enjoy the photos and we hope you had a fun holiday and took a moment to remember our fallen military soldiers.
