Playing in Oregon

(Helping Mom do a little laundry)

Well we, G and I are in Oregon, house sitting and watering plants for Gma and Gpa while they are visiting family in ND. It's been really nice and sunny, well let's change that to it's getting hot! Luckily Jered was able to get the air conditioner de-winterized and working for us. The watering is about a two hour job each night I'm starting when our little one is taking her first nap and then she usually will let me finish up in the evenings with her in the stroller or holding her with a little singing and dancing.

It's been nice to just spend time with my little angel, but I sooo miss John. This is the first time since I moved in that we have been apart for this long... ten days.. so far we're just a few into it, but I'm already to see him now. Little miss G always stares at the men, I'm sure she is looking for her Dad, me too.

John's been busy working side jobs on top of the regular one so at least he's staying busy. I'm sure he's exhausted, but we appreciate all of his hard work. :)

So Oregon is fun, lots of play time and were having a small BBQ with friends and family tomorrow, little G get's to meet cousin Jillian, Aunt Jody and Dave. Jered, Kerri and Ashlyn will be coming too we haven't seen them since Easter when G was just a few weeks old.. it will be a great time especially with all of these great Oregon Strawberries for dessert.
Playtime on our favorite mat..

Birthday party weekend and a few firsts..

Friday night we had friends over for dinner, which was really nice. We were also doing wedding planning for their day this July. Lots to do and the time is flying by.

We were also busy attending birthday parties this weekend. Grace and I went to a friend Rachel's party, she turned seven on Saturday. Grace got to meet quite a few of our friends we haven't seen yet and she did so well they whole time we were there, which made me very happy and proud. We also were able to see Auntie Suzi and her boys they were here for the party too.

John was home cleaning that excavator that he took into the mud bogs this winter, it was a fantastic sunny day. He has a job next weekend and needed to do a bit of maintenance for sure. :) I made some tasty Philly cheese steak sandwiches for dinner which we like so much were doing them again this week. Maybe I'll catch a picture.
Sunday we took it easy, that is Grace and I, John started early before the rain came to finish the last of the mowing. We had another birthday in the afternoon for cousin Elias today he turned 8. I was able to get a few pics at the party. John and Heidi holding their new babies, Elias and cake, Skyanna and Grace.

It was also a great day with a few firsts. Grace is holding her head on her own pretty well so I tried her in her bumbo chair and she did fantastic! John and I were so excited she was having fun and doing great. She also surprized us this morning we were doing our play time and she was really intent on my bowl of blueberries and after looking for a bit she grabbed for it and pulled the bowl towards her!! We we smiling and beaming with excitement.

Now just waiting patiently for summer to arrive.

Monday work.. for some....

What a great easy day for some of us.. (Grace and I of course were hanging out on the deck and inside watching) John was out working on the property starting on the fence we want to put up this summer/spring. It has been a nice easy weekend, just the way we like them. Here's a photo from his handy work and mind you that is 9ft railroad tie. And some of Grace that have been from the past week, you can really see how that red is coming out in her hair and eyebrows.. I'm going to guess we have a strawberry blondie on our hands. :)
