Five months and all is well.

I love this picture she was laughing with me.. one of my favorite sounds is her giggles and laugh. :) We love this part of our day.


Hooray Five months and time is still flying by for us parents. Miss G is doing great! She loves to talk and really enjoys when I sing to her she joins for accompaniment. I always have to smile at this! She has been really good when were out shopping. She likes to sit and look up at all the lights and since she is so cute everyone wants to stop to say hello & coo with her.. she is also getting to be such a flirt, but then I expected that both of her parents are.. :)

She stands all the time with great ease, of course with our support. Is sitting up with a little support and I expect by next month she'll be on her own maybe. Since she likes to stand and is enjoying it I'm going to say she'll be walking before she crawls.. we'll see. Belly time is going well too and I'm suspecting we have a few teeth coming in too, drooling is her new pastime and sucking on everything. This week we've picked up on spoons and love to chew them in our mouth I'm sure it's helping with the teeth and the cold metal I'm guessing is a comfort too.

John's been busy working as always and has moved onto the next job sight and back to a much longer commute. He's been working a few night shifts as the supervisor to help the crew catch up, they are expanding a major highway for three miles. He's more than happy to have finished the Wal-mart building and won't set foot in one anytime soon.

I'm still trying to work on going thru my storage in our back room to get it ready for a garage/junk sale. So many boxes and still not enough time, but I do try, it just seams like I have to make such a bigger mess to get it all out of here. We'll have silver Ford back after the new engine and the lift kit/tires are done. We're both excited for this of course. I'll post pics when were done with all the add-ons.

Just having our weekly fun...

I've been watching our niece and nephew this past week and we've been having fun with all the sunshine. They both love to entertain Grace and make her smile. We've been taking adventures during the day to the local parks, playing down at the fort on the beach in the bunkers and we drop them off at practice for youth football and cheer leading. It's been fun to stay and watch and I can just imagine the day I'll be doing it for Miss G and the rest of the family.


Miss G did have her first swing ride this week and we held her going down the slide but not really much reaction from the slide just yet.. she wasn't too sure about it even in my arms. Thankfully right now she's still little and surely growing. I've gone thru some of the clothes again and she is getting another inch in length again. Five months is next week already. Garage sale find = priceless fun.

So this summer I've been meaning to get to more garage sales to look for some great used toys for Miss G. I found a few great things this past week. I also have a great consignment shop in the area I like to visit too and they also had a few great finds. I'll make sure to get some pictures posted soon of our new toys as we play with them. Here are a few for now I did find an old fashioned jumper and a jeep (mind you red just like ours, we've already got her started on the 4x4 mudding so one day she will love it like us.)

She has also been interested in what foods were eating and I'm waiting until closer to six months to start her on any, she's doing great with my milk and gets plenty for now. But I was eating some blueberries the other morning and she couldn't keep the hands out of the bowl so I let her play and she put them in her mouth! Didn't know what to do when she got it there, she spit it back out with her tongue, but she is learning for sure it's all a matter of time. I also bought our first cup for her to practice with and she has been doing well and just discovered that she can suck on it and something (water) comes out of it.. funny. She is also working that tongue when she's concentrating on something.. so cute. :)
