Updates..

The new baby is here LOL.. I hope everyone already knows that. Gwen Aspen is now almost three months old and life is getting better the older she gets. Grace has been fantastic with her and always excited to say Hi and touch her toes. :) So happy they get along. Now Gwen has been a feisty challenge from day one for sure. I was sooo spoiled with Miss Grace being so easy. Well the new one has changed that for sure. It was hourly for the first month and then every two hours. We now have learned why some people stop at two kids! LOL, we love them both dearly and of course wouldn't change anything, but they sure are different in so many ways already.

Out picking flowers with Mommy and playing on the quad.
One of my favorite hiding places.
Awesome quilts from Great Auntie Alma for the girls. :)

My new favorite friend, he had to come home with us to stay.
 Playing with Daddy.
I"m loving this corn on the cob thing!

I love my summer tomatoes from Gpa G's garden.
Playing outside and making flower soup..

Gma G came to visit my first few days home. I was so nice to have her help. :)
Don't let me (Gwen) fool you I really only sleep about an hour and then I'm back up, giving my mommy a run for her money.

I wore Daddy out, we have to catch our winks when we can.
First ferry ride for the new one, were off to meet friends for pumpkin hunting and a bit of fun.

Sitting up at just three weeks, this kids been holding her head up from pretty much day one. She's so strong.
Daddy helped my carve my first pumpkin.

 Gwen's baptism.
Grandma and Grandpa Mac came all the way from Canada to see us! We wish they could have stayed longer but we had so much fun while they were here.
We're getting ready for Christmas and so excited to see Grace begin to understand, participate and really enjoy it this year. I could write for hours, but with two kiddos keeping me busy I'll let the photos tell the story. :) We are doing great, having fun and very blessed.

Happily Forever ever..

I know it's been waaaaay to long again. I will try to catch up on some of our past adventures, but as of today were 23 days away from having the next blessing join the family and I know life is going to busy for a few months and so I won't promise too much.. :) I am thinking if nothing else I'll do some photo postings to keep you all updated for sure. Miss G is great! She began to walk mid July and is working on it each day... but when she wants to get somewhere it's fast crawling to zoom zoom there in a second.

Summer has been mild here in our corner, which being pregnant and not too good with the heat I am enjoying! There have been a few days but on those we sit out in the shade and play in the kiddy pool, which is a huge hit with Miss G, she is quite the water baby. I wanted to attempt some swimming at the pool this year but we've been having more fun at our home pool. John's been busy working and getting all of those Honey do's done for me before the new arrival. I know he's also been busy of course taking great care of us and all of his projects outside too..

All of this anticipation and waiting is soon to be over and we will be enjoying all the snuggles and blessings of a newborn again. Here's a few photos to catch you up from the summer. Loves.. K

GG is helping me practice walking.. it's when we began our attempts. (March)

Chilling after having a fun day at the shrimp festival, I was quite the sight wearing my glasses everyone commented how cute I was.

Daddy and I just chilling, doing our thing playing in our shades.

I like to play in mom's market basket, but look close and you can see the shiner I got on the coffee table one day attempting my walking. It was quite a tumble.

Playing with cousin Ashlyn at our favorite little table at GG's.

I like to hang out with GGpa in his big chair too.

Yummy an apple..

Great dinner mom. :)

We have been busy spring cleaning the past two weeks and it's finally almost done! John has been joking that I'm a hoarder or border line hoarder, he's wrong of course, I always remind him of his "gathering" of things outside. I'm sure it's about even in the end. On that note I have finally gone thru and purged three truck loads of stuff we didn't need or haven't used to the local thrift stores. It's such a great feeling to have it all gone. Granted I still have another closet and some reorganizing to do but the bulk of it is out of the house. I won't go into too much detail but some of those boxes were from high school or earlier!!! Why I've kept moving it I just don't know, thankfully now it's on it's ways to another home. :) Mainly we're getting ready for Miss G's first birthday!!! Hooray Hooray!!!!! We made it. Here are a few photos from our fun this week. Enjoy.

Oh mom you know you want to give me that camera... I'm going to come get it...

Well I just woke up do you like my hair do? It's the latest style for girls my age.. this is my new hot spot to play right under the bouncer.. or it's also perfect for me to practice pulling myself up I'm going to be walking soon. I'm almost there.

Moving up..

It's happened she's growing tooooooo fast. (I'm saying this and were only a year in...LOL) We got Miss G her new car seat today. She is officially graduating up from the infant car seat to the next step and thankfully she loves it. Daddy helped her pick it out and it's pretty styling I have to say. We'll keep her rear facing for a bit longer but she will have her own little corner, not that she hasn't taken over everything in our lives already. It really is pretty cool, another milestone and soon we will celebrate that first birthday too.

Our first tirp to the ER..

It happened so fast and thank goodness we,re on the other side now. Saturday started as any normal day would and then the great crash. We have had our first major accident lots of blood, frantic mother, screaming and hurt baby, but calm daddy and an ER trip later to make sure everything was alright we made it back home for some needed rest.

Miss G tumbled chin first on the hardwood floor in the kitchen, cutting the top of her mouth biting her tongue and lip, which made for all the blood and of course a frantic mother. I knew the crying was a good sign, she was alive and kicking. A calm dad, thank goodness, because then I was falling apart, (really doesn't help being pregnant, this extra emotion and crying at a drop of a hat is going to drive me nuts..but back to the story)..... A fast, but safe drive to the ER, she calmed down the bleeding stopped and a great staff helped us at Harrison, we found out it was definitely harder on the parents than the child. Thank you God for strong babies and a few blessings. She was very swollen and sadly couldn't eat or drink for a good day and half.

In all of this I made the hard decision to stop breastfeeding. Now this has been harder on me for sure. Since Miss G couldn't nurse anyway with our face trauma and swelling it was a hard but easier transition. She wasn't into anything at first but thank goodness for Vanilla Pedisure, it's worked to help with our transition. Now were weaning her from that to formula too. I'm sure it's hard when you get that great mother's milk and then nothing. She is doing great now and recovered well. Were back to lots of smiles, laughter, and playing all day as usual.

Being pregnant again I knew we would need to wean sometime and I'm feeling much more energy since we have which is nice. I'm loving not having to recover from random nibbles from the nursing for sure. Now baby and I can keep all those good nutrients to ourselves for a while. This pregnancy has been much different from the last. I'm feeling hungry all the time, but no morning sickness, hooray! Were doing well and on track for a due date in mid September. I'll keep updates coming as we go along.

The Spaghetti incident

It started as a normal dinner for us and then took a turn.. and what a fun time was had. John and I couldn't stop laughing at Miss G and the fun she was having. Which of course kept her going and it was priceless for sure.

We have such a blessing and we are truly lucky to be able to have Miss G in our lives each day..
