Hello all.
I've had a few rough weeks and I'm sorry for not posting. The recovery from the accident is taking me much longer than I had anticipated. I'm having issues with numbness, tingling and of course all the muscle pains. I took it really slow for the past few days. Well lets just say my body was screaming for me to stop and listen to begin the recovering. My back and neck have been the worst and usually I'm good with pain, but not this go round. I had to stay home almost nine days now not doing a thing. Which for me is hard to do and out of the ordinary! I'm trying to listen and relax to heal. Unfortunately the pain was soooo bad over the weekend and by Monday I was in the ER for hours trying to find out some clues for what was happening. They did some xrays and we know the back isn't broken, good thing, but then I can walk stiffly, and sore but still the legs move when they're not tingling.. :) So some strong pain medication and five hours later I was sent home and told to rest. Funny I've been doing that. I'm seeing my doc next week, amazing how long it takes to get in, and hopefully they can give me some more answers to my pain questions. I just want to be back to my normal prior to the accident, hopefully sooner than later.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me get well wishes it's nice to know your loved my many. So on to other news.. I haven't been able to do much on the wedding front, but I did find a fantastic photographer for the day, I did decide on which dress too!! Sorry you'll have to wait unitl the day to see it.. LOL :)
It's John's birthday this weekend and he's wonderful to head down to see me here at the beach. I know I woulndn't be able to drive all those hours with my back. SOOOO I'm planning a few on his favorites for dinner and dessert.. A special breakfast it will be so nice just to spend time with each other again it's been a few weeks. I'll try to post a few pictures from our weekend. Until next time take care and wear your seat belts..

Auto Accident
Well we never plan for a car accident, but one found me on Saturday. I had someone come from behind and broadside me when I made my right hand turn to the driveway at the business. Of course the turn signal was on and she admitted to seeing it and was cited for a few other issues too a long story short....she wasn't paying attention and I became the bulls eye. I'm going to be alright I'm sore but recovering; as for the truck, yes John's new truck, we're not sure yet, but I was provided with a rental today which is a plus and our insurance company is fighting it out with her's.
The funniest part of the whole thing, to me that is, was when I talked to John he of course was worried about me, but said "you are the best thing to happen to me.. maybe we can have this truck totalled and then search for a new one together." I was laughing, which was great, it was one of those moments I'll remember in forty years and smile. At least I know he's still up for keeping me around for a bit.. LOL..

Who knew trying on dresses makes you thirsty...
Well the ladies and I headed out to do a bit of shopping to find a few things for the wedding. We had two appointments with a bridal shop just south of Seattle and had fun looking for me and then styles and colors for the ladies. I think it really had not sunk in yet. The whole idea of it all, it sure started to as I was trying on dresses, it was fun to see so many styles and colors, but totally work and we were all ready for our dinner at Apple bee's. The mango margarita was a great thirst quencher... It was fun to just have everyone there for the help and conversation. Thanks for the fun.. here's a few photo's from the trials.. I'm not posting anything that would spoil the event...but we had fun.
Enjoy..

Suzi and I were chuckling about the orange color, really it was pretty, just not as a dress.. LOL more like a pumpkin. I surprized them and had them try a few on just for fun.. Great sports they were too.

Enjoy..

Just hanging out.. .

My quick trip to Washington was great, but then isn't it when you can see the one you love. :) I was able to plant the new roses we ordered this winter to place by the logging grapples, John had put up by the lower driveway. Two are climbing roses and one is a bush style. I can't wait to see how they do, they will be fantastic in a year or so and crawl right up the grapples. I forgot to get pictures but I'll keep updating. I also took sometime to prune back the other roses, which he already has, they needed a little bit of a woman's touch. I'll be using that touch in a few more places before were done too.
The chickens are laying great and I can't wait to be there to enjoy the eggs more often. The rooster is a bit of an aggressive character, but John has him under control a few knocks and he lets him in the hen house to collect the eggs. The weather was fantastic, lots of sunshine and oh the promise of summer is coming I'm sooo looking forward to more summer days.
I went to the local famous little burger joint, Bloomers to get us some lunch because we had been out working in the yard and cutting more firewood that morning, well I left with John's favorite burger, the onion rings and two screws in the back tire! I heard it on the way home, which was close, dropped off the food and was on my way into town to have the boys at Les Schwab take a look. Luckily it was a small repair in the tread and the guys were great. It helps to be in a small town and know a few people, my best friend's brother was working and hooked me up, thanks Aaron!
Alright enough of the boring details we're having fun and loving every minute. Here are a few photos from our day.. John took me for a ride in his big Mack dump truck he's been working in, romantic jestures are great anytime I get them. :)
